People aren't that clean and tidy though, so they can be both A, and B, and sometimes C too! I also just realized, reading this post, that I need to read Shadow and Bone and The Archived. :p

-P.E.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17045558423044874125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7570782455185394721.post-47340747559793468902013-07-23T15:51:00.202-04:002013-07-23T15:51:00.202-04:00I loved that speech so much! Every day, we're figuring out who we are, and how to become who we want to be." i like that! great post! and i'm glad you mentioned quintana. i read finnikin of the rock a few months back but i haven't read the rest of the series (though they're in my tbr)--makes me want to get to them sooner rather than later.

Michelle Santiagohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00040069428575572352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7570782455185394721.post-66611212444326053382013-07-19T22:21:33.766-04:002013-07-19T22:21:33.766-04:00The Darkling is a huge example of this for me-I ha...The Darkling is a huge example of this for me-I had so many feelings about him, ranging from the very positive swoony to the very negative hate at some of his actions. The Insouciant Sophisticatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03934853089105345052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7570782455185394721.post-83479732173442740242013-07-19T17:20:06.203-04:002013-07-19T17:20:06.203-04:00This post is BRILLIANT. Augustus Waters from TFIOS is perfect because he's imperfect. I could go on about a bunch of different characters, but I'll restrain myself. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7570782455185394721.post-17562730801778387992013-07-19T16:46:34.069-04:002013-07-19T16:46:34.069-04:00Awesome post! Contradictions make them realistic and help us connect to them more because lets be realistic none of us are sure 100% of the time. I'm almost never sure :)

-Mari @ The Sirenic CodexAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17045558423044874125noreply@blogger.com
