One of the great things about books is that they look good no matter what you do with them. Whether they're neatly laid out on shelves, in stacks on a table, or even in an unruly pile on the floor, books can make any room look interesting.

Someday I want to have my own home library. Until I have room for one, I'm collecting ideas and dreaming of the labyrinth of books I'd like to create.

Here is some food for imagination:

Classic

Creative

Artistic

Repurposed

Whimsical

Mind-bending

Just plain weird

Do you have all your books on display? Send us pictures! If we get enough we'll do a follow-up post.

I absolutely love interior design/architecture, and am such a sucker for book-related design posts on tumblr. A library and built-ins are a must have for any apartment or house. :D

Also...uhm. If by display you mean that I have books everywhere, then yes. One day I shall have a lovely space for them all, but until then I'll admire other arrangements!

Omg so lovely!

I can't wait to have a home library (besides the random shelves we have in our apt right now). Honestly I'll probably go more traditional and just try to use the books themselves to create visual appeal (like arranging by color) BUT I could see myself getting something like that last tree shelf under the Creative section...

THose are so amazing looking. I don't know if I'd want to sleep on my books though. Knowing my luck the one I'd want to read would end up being at the bottom of the pile in the dead center.
